I see we have no thread for such things yet. So here are the three stamps used in Lyon during the 1988 strike:

Let's populate this thread a little more with some other postal strike stamps I have. From the same 1988 strike, we have these two miniature sheets of four labels each, to be affixed to mail originally sent from Paris but that was re-routed to Reims to be processed because the Paris post offices had to much backlog to deal with:

What I collect: currently focused on most of western Europe, much of which is spent on France, Belgium, Germany and Great Britain Queen Victoria

I wish I had something to add, but this was after my end year (1959), but very interesting So were these to show solidarity with the postal workers?

I think those stamps were, to the contrary, to get around the strikes and pay for "scab work" by ad hoc local postal distribution services. To get back into your wheelhouse, here is the first such stamp listed, from the 1909 strike in Amiens and put out by the local chamber of commerce, MiNr. 124. Here we have two se-tenant stamps, the one of the left being a plate flaw where the "C." for the currency was missing:
