Friends, I need help identifying this stamp: And this is the text at the perforation on the right edge: Perf is 15.5. I believe it could be Scott 18 through Scott 24. I don't THINK that the paper is laid, so I am ruling out 24b. And it does not appear to have been recut, so I am ruling out 23 as well. But that still leaves 7 possibilities! Any help? Micah

What I collect: 19th Century US, High denomination US (> $1), 19th century covers US, Indian Feudatory States and most recently I acquired a BigBlue [with about 5,000 stamps] and pristine pages.

Thanks, Jack ( banknoteguy ). I wonder if you can help me to understand what makes you think it is 24?
