Never seen a JUDICIAL overprint. Scott does not carry it in the world catalog. I am assuming it is some kind of revenue stamp. If there is anyone out there that can elaborate and let me know if I can retire now - that would be terrific. As always thanks to everyone that takes the time to look and reply. - Jeff

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

I am afraid at best you may be able to buy a coffee if you sold this revenue stamp. Lots of Jamaica Judicial stamps for sale on eBay. One like yours recently sold for 3.49 US. I have several in my collection that were bought for a few dollars.

Jamaica Judicial Revenue Stamp. 1908 Multi Crown CA Watermark Perf 14 Barefoot Catalogue (2000) #12 2 shilling Brown : Affords a Catalogue value of 15.0 (Barefoot always confuses me, unsure if this is shillings or Pounds ) not mentioned in the preamble The number is supposed to represent typical retail prices for good used copies My Opinion : "every stamp is special"

When one studies stamps, one becomes a "Philatelist" That's the fun bit. for example, one would know instantly, the King George V "Judicial" in this image was not employed as a revenue, but was postally used.
