Oleksandr-GermanyThanks for your post. I think that the overprint reads “5 Para 5”. That would mean it is from Great Britain Offices Abroad. Perhaps Offices in Turkey or Levant? I just quickly checked a catalogue, but the overprint doesn’t seem to match any in the listings. Hmmm…. Perhaps the red is not an overprint but rather an auxiliary marking that ended up on the stamp. vikingeck: can you comment?

Yes, I searched the Internet for information but found nothing. All postage stamps with black overprints in photographs on the Internet. And I didn't find 5 Para 5.

The postmark might be "Bute Docks B.O Cardiff"

This certainly is not an overprint or surcharge that belongs with a stamp from the British post offices in the Levant otherwise it would be in SG catalogue for sure
Bute Docks Branch Office . CARDIFF
Suggests outgoing mail , leaving the UK and the red 5 paras applied on arrival Customs or postage tax due . But 5 paras is a tiny amount

Thank you so much for your help! How can I write correctly under the brand name in an album? Stamp with customs duty or tax? In what category are these brands listed in catalogues?

I do not think you will find it in a catalogue it is not a regular postal item .
I only guess it is an Ottoman tax charge . It may be something very different.

I have not seen anything like it in 20 years of collecting Turkey. But still keep an open mind.

The album is very heavy and old. All stamps in the album are old.

That's exactly what I thought when I found the stamp in the album! That this postage stamp is fake. First of all, I carefully removed the stamp from the album sheet. On the back of the stamp was part of an envelope. I carefully wet the stamp with watermark fluid and cleaned it of any excess paper from the cover to reveal the watermark! I think the brand is real. 5 Para 5 applied before sending the letter. , the paint floated a little because it was applied, and the letter was immediately extinguished and sent. Here are photos from the very beginning of my research. I have no doubt the postage stamp is genuine, with a genuine postmark. It is the overprint which is in doubt, esp with fugitive ink The only 5 para Turkish stamps overprinted and value tablets were mainly for Newspaper use. Loved your German Stamp Album, beautiful.
