The imperf pair vert between CV $800 This scallywag (I think) has taken a booklet pane with a large lower margin, and overlapped another stamp and sliced them with a scalpel. Giving a make-believe (albeit damaged) vertical pair. Any other ideas welcomed.

Is this more Hi Jinx? Anyone aware of this issue being precancelled? Thanks.

No, As far as I can tell it's only the 9¢ & 10¢ is listed with a Bureau precancel in Scotts.

The first does appear to be a poorly-done fabrication, with mis-alignment of both the design and perforations.
I haven't found anything in the Scott Specialized or through Google that suggests the 11c orange Americana issue was precanceled.

No, As far as I can tell it's only the 9¢ & 10¢ is listed with a Bureau precancel in Scotts. Note that the Scott Specialized catalogue will only list those Bureau precancelled stamps which are different from the regular issue in some way - this is almost always those stamps which are missing tagging only on the precancelled version. There are many values from the Americana series which are precancelled with the lines-only style: 3c, 4c, 9c, 13c, 30c, 50c & $1 sheet stamps, and 3.1c, 3.5c, 8.4c, 9c, 10c, 12c & 13c coil stamps. Here's a nice scan found elsewhere of the 30c value. Perhaps your 11c simply shows a postal cancellation. The First Day of Issue cancellations came immediately to mind, but they're not correct to be the source on your stamps. But this will give you the idea of the possibilities anyway, it shows both an official-style First Day Cover cancel and a supplementary cancel - somebody with some literature on US cancellations might be able to find a source. Ryan considered : "Perhaps your 11c simply shows a postal cancellation. The First Day of Issue cancellations came immediately to mind,"
I like your suggestion, but I may remain obdurate, I have another skulking around my vastly vacant precancel collection, that looks similar, dodgy, light, parallel lines. I'll post when I see it. I am mounting both as a precancel, with appended question mark.
