Beware: Perf scanning software is only as good as the accuracy as your scanner.

Anyone aware of a free software, that measures point to point on a scanned image of known DPI? I have the following two links in my bookmarks folder - I haven't tried either of these, though, so I can't offer any kind of quality review on them. ePerforationGaugePERFOMaster 3000Ryan

Thanks Ryan, just having a Senior's hissy fit, I'll get over it. I joined the testers for EZPerf guage, was going to buy it, then it didn't like XP, I upgraded to Win 7 , then my 30 day preview lapsed and I couldn't load it, I just became fed up. I like Perfomaster, but there, it's free, no registration, yet when I load it, to get the thing to work, it wants your Phone number and Date of birth I want to buy a software program, not apply for a Police Clearance. I've sorted it, I use the transparent perf guage that Perfs 14 supplied. I would have preferred the Perfomaster, because you can measure between two points and do the Perf Math That was ideal for me.

Transparent Digital Perf Guage If any members have the Transparent Perf Guage for Die Cut Stamps (It does exist) may I have a copy please? Is this what you're thinking of, Rod? It exists as a physical item but not as a digital one - see this Canada Elizabethan II Study Group page for information. Multiple years ago I set aside the mint postage and printed out a self-addressed stamped envelope but didn't send it in because I had run out of larger envelopes to enclose the SASE. This post triggered my memory so I found the postage and the envelope buried under one of my multiple piles of "stuff I'm working on right now". If you'd like, I can throw in extra postage and have a gauge sent to you. Ryan

Thanks Ryan, (your usual generous self) But no, this is the one I seek (on the LHS) The burelage effect becomes transparent when you overlay the Gif on a stamp image allowing one to move the digital perf guage about on the screen. I don't need it right now, but will be handy when different and rare diecuts surface. Cheers
