I had this stamp on my War Tax exhibit and labeled it as a bank cancel, but now I'm not sure. In editing some of the pages before this weekends show, I've removed it from the page, partly to make room for other material/info, partly because I have my doubts. I'm not sure how I came to the conclusion that this was a bank cancel. Backtracking, I can't seem to find the reference. Can any of you kind folk chime in and give me an idea what this may be. My instincts are to stick with 'bank', but I like to be sure. Many thanks in advance.

One proving cancel "B of C" Bank of Canada, has the similar wavy lines, perhaps later they removed the "B of C" and just used a block wavy line later, perhaps a machine canceller? Nope, looks more like an India Rubber Handstamp.

Decided to CHEQUE the buckacover website, they often have lots there. And sure enough...question answered.
