Whist sorting I came across this unassuming cover postmarked October 4, 1945 in Toronto. TWICE. I only find this interesting because the postal clerk of the day felt the need to use two different slogan cancels. Guess he had a lot to say. The envelope also contains its original letter, a very nice thank you note to Mr and Mrs Loveridge, for a much appreciated hospital visit.

Suggestion: The cover went through the machine canceller, which missed the stamp (left hand slogan) A vigilant postal clerk, took it off that line, and put it back on another machine cancelling line with other "misses". Nice cover, and a vigilant collector Slogan "Pay no more than ceiling price" ? A Black market reference?
