Thanks for the colour thoughts BC and tomiseksj. I'll have my eye on the locomotive stamp again when I see them in sales circuits or at a good price.

I think the so-called claret shade would be the scarcest. I checked my perfs this morning, and both my stamps are 11.8 x 12.0. That does not seem to match Lowe. I will have to try again later when my eyes are more awake.

Hmmm, no new posts here in 5 years. This stamp was the 1st provincial stamp in my collection. It was in a small booklet of stamps an Aunt gave to me way back in the late 60's. The only stamp that I kept out of that booklet, as I recall. It is a bit ratty, but still, something that was printed 158 years ago. I love this stamp.

Very happy to see a thread on New Brunswick Stamp(s). Being from New Brunswick and collecting BNA etc..... a pleasure to share with others my collection of N.B. Stamps, so let us begin with N.B. Unitrade # 1 and more is coming.......René

Hope I am not highjacking this interesting thread on the N.B. 1860 Unitrade # 6 (1 c locomomotive), just wanted to add some other "stuff" on N.B. stamps. If I do receive a recommendation to start my own thread, I will, but I do not like duplications since I will later be presenting my # 6s, my N.B. Cents issue pages and "proofs" Let's take a look at N.B. # 2 pence issue. My copy is a N.B. 6d (mustard yellow), bought with a cert from VG Foundation. My wish is to add # 3 and 4, but the stamp budget does not permit presently !! René

Nice Presentation
Unfortunately the image is too small (source file included) to see any details. There is an easy fix. Since you use imgbb, scan a large image and post it. When you post in "Preview" you can manually resize the image to a manageable size and if a member clicks on it they can see the original image
Image posted on imgbb and manually reduced Click on image and "view image" - the original size appears
A word of caution - many members have lost large quantities of images on "free image sites" like imgbb The TSF image site is safe from any loss - "The Upload Images" top right button
