Hi Gang I just came back from an estate auction (kind of disappointing, between the one hour drive, the police detour, and the high prices - albums going from $250 to almost $1000) and managed to come away with one lot, which contained a few US back of book pieces and a surprise 1/2ยข small queen. But lots of 1960s to 80s plate blocks of 4 and 6. So my question to you folks is, anyone interested in this sort of thing? I can put them in the up coming auction (though it seems to be saturated with my stuff already) or for a straight sale or trade?
The alternative is to take them to my dealer downtown and see what he can give me. But I thought I'd give you lot first crack.
Thoughts?

This query can also be extend to booklets. I've now got 6 US booklets from the 1980s. All unused (meaning all stamps intact) and most still sealed.

James, I may be interested - I like to use older stamps on my correspondence. So I would certainly not be keeping them intact, if that makes a difference to your offering them up. I can understand that you might want to offer them to someone who would collect them, rather than break them up and use them.

Yes, I would also be interested in the blocks and booklets. I have a small collection of both. ha ha, Mick, we can duke it out on the 8th....friendly bidding.

Thanks for the responses. I don't think I'll include these in the upcoming live auction, since I already have 7 lots up for grabs, and don't want to hog all the limelight.
Mick I do think I'd prefer selling these as plate blocks (though really, once you buy anything, they are yours to do with what you will). If you are interested in some unused US stamps I've got a small pile here, I'm sure we could work something out for them if you are interested. Drop me a line.
Reena, I think I would like to sell these off as one lot. There are over 70 blocks of 4 and 6, mostly 1960s and forward, thought a few older pieces. I think I'd be looking at a straight sale. If you are interested, you too can drop me a line and we can discuss terms. They are all in mint condition, with the exception of two I think which have a little scotch tape on the selvage. Anyway, if you are interested let me know. Otherwise I think I'll just take them to my guy downtown.
