They put a little bit of effort into their exhibitions back in the day, no?
First time I've seen it.

Rod: I think I've seen most of the NY-area show cinderellas of that era, but I've never seen before what you posted. Thanks for doing that! Have you seen any more from this organization?
Also, let me just take a moment to say that it's great to see you posting again. I don't know if we've ever exchanged any conversation before, but I very much enjoyed your entertaining posts on another board. I had noticed you hadn't been around for a while, and had almost contacted you to see if there was another board that I should know about instead! Then I happened to see your intro here. Glad you're back online and posting!

Hi Dave, thank you for those kind words. Jack has dragged me out of a temporary hiatus into renovating (I am a serial renovator) Not sure about the Bronx Inter-boro Exhibition, was it just an exhibition? or a club? I do have a collection of US Exhibition Cinderellas, none from the Bronx before, It was pleasing to find the genesis of the word "Bronx" So it throws up the dual query : club? and the origins of the Vignettes. I enjoy your posts also, keep 'em up.

The Bronx County Stamp club first met on April 11th 1932. They held their 4th Bipex in 1941 which could mean that no show was held in 1940. A sheet was issued for 1941 which was overprinted 'War Bonds' to celebrate the clubs 12th Anniversary in April 1944.
Research ongoing.......

Before the first Exhibition in 1937, the Bronx County Stamp Club issued two Club seals, the first Brown and circular [serrated] and the second a Gold Foil Die-Cut round seal.
There was no show in 1940 and the Exhibition in 1941 was the last organized by them, although they did issue anniversary items up to 1949, again in 1957 and 1962, the latter in conjunction with the A.P.S. Other types of Souvenir exist [in limited numbers] for the shows in 37,38,39 and 41, including 3 different coloured sheets for the last show.
Looking for scans....also to buy but haven't found anything yet.
