Hi Google can be used to effectively convert currencies. The conversion rate, as far as I can tell, is current. To convert a currency, in the Google search box enter the phrase From Currency = To Currency. As examples: 1 dollar US = Australia: Selecting the 1 us dollar equals australian dollar option one gets 1 US Dollar equals 1.28 Australian Dollar 1 Colombia Peso = : Selecting the 1 peso colombiano to dollar gets 1 Colombian Peso equals 0.00041 US Dollar
1 Greenland = Canada dollar: Result is 1 Danish Krone equals 0.19 Canadian Dollar In general Google will convert almost anything by entering a phrase similar to that above. As an aside, Windows has a calculator installed which can be simple or scientific. Someone told me about another Microsoft Calculator, Calculator Plus. It is the same as the normal calculator but has an option for conversions. The currency conversions is very restricted, but other conversions may be useful. It is located at www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21622. Make sure you get the version for your Windows version. Jerry B

Good info Jerry B I believe Google pulls their info from www.xe.com/ If you've never visited XE, it's currency exchanger heaven :-) Also, for those with a smartphone, there are many apps for currency conversion.

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.
