A little while back Frog lost his grand daughter Ruby a little more about her brave fight is found here thestampforum.boards.net/thread/2274/members-news-ramblingsFrog has been one of the most generous people I have ever met and asks for nothing return and I mean Nothing. This year both firstfrog2013 and Ms froggy will be taking part in the march of dimes. The link to their page is here www.marchforbabies.org/march/personal_page.asp?pp=5498393&ct=4&w=6991490&u=gramwens&mfb2015=1As a member of the forum I ask if all our members take a little bit from their stamp budget and donate a little to Ruby, they accept PayPal on the site. You can also put up a lot in the up coming auction and Put Baby Ruby in the title if you rather do that. I know Frog and he is a humble guy so took it on myself to take out the Bullhorn and let member know.

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

The organization, not the name, was the brainchild of President Roosevelt if I am not mistaken. The earlier years were taken up to find a cure for Polio. Affiliates opened up throughout the world under similar banners.
The early days of the State of Israel saw marches under the banner 'Tsad HaPrutot' which is just about a literal translation from the March of Dimes. Bit of a coincidence for me as last week I was given an envelope of covers and stamps by the family of one our residents who recently passed away. Not much in it but there was a 1962 set of Charity stamps from this organization that were sold in schools for 50 prutot. Probably not many survived as I had not previously seen the labels or the numbered paper they were affixed to.
I'll see what I can come up with in the name of Ruby.

Thanks Jack for the plug.If you would just give a buck I would be grateful. Not looking to raise the bar too high just support my second oldest thru her time of healing. My wife drove her in labor over three hours to Boston to give Ruby the best possible chance to survive. I am still a dad and have my own crosses to bear.

Frog, I cannot imagine what you went through. My Granddaughter, Maddy, is the light of my life and I would do anything for her. I just made a small contribution. God Bless you.

Frog, my two daughters are my greatest accomplishment! My wife and I are grateful every day that they've grown to be healthy happy young women. I also have an older daughter I've not seen since she was about 6. But we keep in touch and she is now in her 30s living in Virginia, with two young kids. I've never met my grandchildren (I still find it odd saying that) but they know I'm here for them, and hopefully one day I can hug them both. My best to you and the missus on your walk.

I appreciate Frog and his contribution to the forum.
Just made a small contribution via PayPal. Easy to do and I'm glad to help.
