According to Scotts : Five denominations, perf and imperf of this design produced in 1920 were not put in use and were probably propaganda labels. They are common. Numerous forgeries exist. Don't know if these are the forgeries or not, but I understand from an SCF thread that some of these may have found legit postal usage. Experts, do weigh in on this one. Also notice the 15K (purple) looks slightly different. This one was redrawn by a different artist at a later date. As you can see my little collection consists of perf (1) and imperf (4).

I was with postcrossing for a couple of years, received some magic postcards over the time, What was most endearing, is what members were doing / eating / working, at the time of posting, in all sorts of places, fascinating stuff. The human spirit can be uplifting.

@falshung www.belarus-misc.org/bnr-stamps.htmSundry Information on other stamps (TSF member Blair ) (sorry, all links have now become dead) On 12 April 2005 Belarus issued a set of 4 stamps plus one souvenir sheet commemorating the end of World War Two. What is interesting is that the four stamps were denominated as A, H, H, and P . (see Notes below) The A stamp sold for 160 Belarus Rubles. (140 in 2004) The two H stamps sold for 350 Belarus Rubles. (320 in 2004) The P stamp sold for 900 Belarus Rubles. (870 in 2004) Strangely enough, the souvenir sheet contained two stamps denominated as 1000 Belarus rubles each. Normally stamps denominated with a letter indicate expected rate changes or hyperinflation. However subsequent releases are denominated in Belarus rubles and rates appear to be unchanged. Currently there are about 2150 Belarus Rubles to $1 US. It could be that this area may produce some interesting postal history in the near future. ======= Notes: (Belarus NVI stamps) ====== Face value A is equal to the tariff for sending a letter within Belarus. Face value B is equal to the tariff for sending a postal card within Belarus. Face value C is equal to the tariff for sending an airmail letter up to 20 g of weight to Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Face value H is equal to the tariff for sending a letter up to 20 g of weight by surface to Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Face value P is equal to the tariff for sending an air-mail letter up to 20 g of weight to other foreign countries. Blair (TC)
