Picked a few covers up yesterday. Here are two I found interesting. Had been reading about blackout cancels recently (can't remember where) and when I saw these I figured I should have at least one page in my cover album with them. Blackout cancels were a security measure during WWII to prevent any undesirables from knowing where certain pieces of mail originated from (a simplistic definition, I know. Perhaps the real experts will give us a better explanation, and show us some other examples.) This first one has the return address on the back, which I think defeats the purpose of the cancel, no?
