Greetings Collectors,
I have run across a Greek area stamp I cannot identify. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you and Happy New Year.

I always use those online catalogues. Easier to search there than in a book.

Your top stamp is from Epirus, although it isn't a real stamp (and looks to be a forgery, at that) - take a look at this thread on TSF for Epirus stamps. The bottom stamp is overprinted "LEMNOS", which was once a part of Turkey and was won in the Balkan Wars. You can find this stamp listed in the Scott catalogue under Greece in the occupation stamps section. Ryan

Thanks Ryan, The Epirus stamp is the first known forgery that ever owned. (That I know of). After collecting over 60 years,my eve sight is begining to suffer. That bring me tlo the overprint. It becomes almost impossible to see. Thank you very much for your assistance!
Regards,
Jim
