I have this mini-sheet but cannot see it mentioned as a mini-sheet in Scott or SG. The Rowland Hill issue that was issued at same time is listed as mini-sheet. There was also the London 1980 Stamp expo issued the same time. Steiner has spaces for the mini sheet for these but not the Year of the Child. Scott 867-870 SG 1091-1094

Hi angore . The clue is in the diagonal lines on each Stamp. This means they are cancelled and not for postal purposes , The sheet will have been a publicity item for the Exhibition ( I cannot find out from the date what the exhibition was but LUFTHANSA, the German airline, seems to have been a sponsor). Permission to reprint stamps has obviously been obtained from the British Post Office and the 50p must be a contribution to the cost of the Exhibition or a donation to Charity. It is a souvenir and not a postal item which is why it is not in the catalogues Found this info : 1980 Year of the Child Europa Miniature Sheet perforated MNH VF - Lufthansa - War on Want - Year of the Child Exhibition 20-23 February 1980 London -
Permission was given by the British Post Office for an issue of just 10,000 to be used on behalf of 'War on Want'. Not valid as postage.
Printed in full colour on PVA gummed Paper.
Atractive and difficult to find.
The stamps were from the 1979 International Year of the Child Europa Issue. This issue features designs taken from original illustrations in famous children books -
