Very nice. I'm afraid that the first booklet is not German, but Swiss.

cursus..Thanks for the correction..Shows how much i know about WW stamps.
Take a look at this old post card with a one cent postage. Post card approx. 100 years old. All pictures were associated with Calgary Albert, Canada. Card has about 14 old pictures...
Found it in an old stamp box hiding in my basement. Kinda of a nice find..

To Belgium: there is a footnote in Michel following the 1912 set: "non-perforated stamps without gum or in different colours are proofs"
To Sweden: this is not a stamp, but probably a cut out from a stationery,if it is postal at all. In Sweden they put dates: day, month, year.

Some interesting finds there. Just wondering, what will you do or have you done with the sheets of stamps? My husband bought a sheet of stamps depicting an archery gold medal winner when we were at the Sydney Olympics, but they've just remained in a box. I think I would have preferred a selection so that I could mount them in an album.

If I want to buy a sheet, I'll always get the set so I can do just that - add them to my album for the display. I rarely bother with full sheets. I found that the more modern Canadian stand up over time, whereas the Americans I have are falling apart. Same storage, little if any handling. On seeing that, I pretty much stopped buying sheets.
The last sheet I bought was the uncut press sheet of the twelve Chinese Year of the... that was issued just this year. But it is so big! It is still rolled up, thinking that I may have it framed to show it off.
Dang, but this is no longer about stamps found in boxes, is it?
