During September, we'll be selecting the Volume 5 Newsletter article that will represent our Chapter as its 2021 APS Article of Distinction. To facilitate that process, four polls have been posted to determine the article from each issue that will compete in the final selection process. As of this writing, member participation in each of those polls is as follows: Issue | Total Votes | V5.1 | 32 | V5.2 | 43 | V5.3 | 36 | V5.4 | 20 |
If you haven't already done so, there is ample time to review each of the issues and make your selections. Those who have submitted Newsletter articles have done so for the benefit of our members. They deserve our support so please make your selections.

Thanks to the two members who went back to Issue 1 and cast their votes! Let's see if we can get them all to 43 or better. Issue | Total Votes | V5.1 | 34 | V5.2 | 43 | V5.3 | 36 | V5.4 | 28 |

There are slightly more than 2 days before the preliminary polls of the Articles of Distinction selection process are closed. Thus far, we have had what I would characterize as less than stellar participation (we have 700+ members and about 150 of them have logged in to their accounts in the past month). Here is where the participation stands as of this writing: Issue | Total Votes | V5.1 | 35 | V5.2 | 44 | V5.3 | 37 | V5.4 | 29 |
My thanks go to the sole member who made his or her selections since my last appeal on July 11th. I would like to encourage all of you who haven't made any selections to do so. I'd especially like to encourage those of you who are newly joined to take some time to review the Volume 5 issues, make your selections, and consider submitting something of a philatelic nature for an upcoming publication.

Only a few more hours remain before the preliminary polls will close and the finalists are identified. If you have a favorite in one or more of the Forum's Volume 5 Newsletter issues and haven't yet made your preference known, please do so while there is still time. You will find the four polls at thestampforum.boards.net/board/661/2021-preliminary-pollingThe current issue of the Newsletter (V5.4) may be viewed here. Volume 5, Issues 1, 2 and 3 are located in the Newsletter Archive thread. Here is where polling currently stands: Issue | Total Votes | V5.1 | 38 | V5.2 | 46 | V5.3 | 38 | V5.4 | 30 |
