My latest purchase of triangular stamps was this very nice souvenir sheet from Spain showing traditional fans:
The field of triangular stamps in France is very sparse. The one example of a stand-alone triangular stamp I have is this issue from 2015 celebrating 50 years since the launch of Astérix, the first French satellite:

Do halved rectangular stamps count as triangles? Here a nice example from Guatemala (accompanied by a legit triangle to stay in-bounds no matter what):

First of all, let me say that I am impressed at the response received for this thread to celebrate the triangle! Many thanks to everyone who has contributed, but especially Rob ( REL1948 ) for starting the thread, Michael ( Londonbus1 ) for making more posts than anyone else, and René ( renden ) for also making multiple posts.... thank you all so much! While it is true that it has indeed been the Goddess of Hope who really got me interested in triangles over the past couple of years, I would like to share with all of you my first triangle acquisition, bought at a stamp show in 1968 called the Cuy-Lorpex, which was held in Rocky River, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. It was my first stamp show, and my first ever stamp purchase after the original packet of 500 worldwide stamps that I got for Christmas in 1967. I picked the Nicaragua 3-centavo stamp shown below. I bought it out of a "penny box" on a dealer's table, and I can still remember going there with my Dad, and handing over my pennies for those selections. That memory has stayed with me all of this time, and it is one of those enduring ones from my youth. I will never forget it. Nicaragua, Sc706-712, Short Set issued on 29-Aug-1947

Another loner triangle, the only such issue from New Caledonia, in 1999, and featuring a megalodon tooth:

Here are some of my triangular stamps...
My one and only Cape stamp...
Albania, Flowering Cacti, issued March 25, 1973. Scott #'s 1487-1494, missing 1491 the 30q value. Upside down, sideways, a nightmare for collectors mounting them!
Here are some from Somalia, Gabon, Republic of Congo and Dahomey...
and finally, Monaco and Mozambique...
I'm sure there are more, I just don't have the energy now to look for them! It's been a busy day.

These are a bit of a mystery. No-one knows who produced them but the story goes: 'The stamps commemorate the mercy flight that was to carry serum to counter a diphtheria epidemic in Nome, Alaska in 1925. Because of the danger, dog teams were ultimately used to bring the serum to Nome, but the stamps were printed anyway. The Polar Bear in the center is modeled after the 1925 Norwegian stamps that were issued to fund Roald Amundsen's North Pole Flight.'
Here are my 8 from a set of 40 with different paper, colours and borders.

Here is an interesting variation on the Alaska Arctic Air Mercy Flight Cinderellas. This is a relatively rare aerogram cover from Iceland using a version of these stamps for rocket mail purposes. From the Ellington-Zwisler Rocket Mail Catalog Volume 2, we learn that two flights took place in Reykjavik on 19th June 1970, this cover no.0004, and 20th June 1970 at Keflavik. The rocket, probably a model rocket which was re-used, was designated Luna 7 and possibly German. Lyddvelbishatia means Independence Day, which is actually 17th June, marking independence from Denmark in 1944.
The stamp reads Island (Iceland) and something (I can't make out the lettering under the handstamps) flight in German.

Chrischross,
Thank you for sharing your Somali triangles. I mentioned in a note to Beryllium Guy this morning that it would be wonderful if someone posted some Djibouti Triangles.

Here's a few other blocks, this time from Sweden - issued 1997 and 1999. Sweden, like the other Nordic countries, have been rather conservative. They haven't played much with any shapes other than squares, so not that many triangles to be found. At least not in my albums

My gosh, I forgot about what's right in my own backyard. Rattlesnake Island, out in Lake Erie, has a history of issuing triangle stamps. They are local post stamps.
