Hello I have an envelope from Pakistan when they first used the decimal coinage on 1/1/1961. With my limited knowledge I think it is something that was put to sale by the postal offices in Pakistan to celebrate this occasion.

This is a fine example of a purely commercial souvenir-FDC. Regardless wether it was made by a private maker or by the Pakistan P.O. It combines some of the stamps issued on Jan.1st,1961. Against the postal regulations, there is also the service-stamp,issued that day, affixed. But then, such souvenirs are produced for one reason only,to milk the purchasers.
By the way,the overprints look greyish on the picture instead of black. Is this due to the quality of the photo ?
