Greeting from Canada Recently started collecting again after many, many years away. It’s wonderful to get back into the hobby.
As I opened my stamp book from when I was 12 I remember how I would save up my allowance just to buy a few stamps - I was so happy back them just adding the newest offering from Canada Post. I still have those original stamps and while they are not really worth much - they are priceless in the memories they hold.
Today, I’m looking to collect Canadian stamps as a youngster I could not afford - also looking at collecting rare early British Commonwealth items

.....to.......TSF..... bythelake ...Ludovico Italy It happens that in a collection there are stamps of little value, but for us they are very precious. Blessed youth.

Welcome bythelake! I remember when I returned to the hobby, now over twenty years ago. Many years earlier, I had sold most of my stamps, still keeping a few modern Canada and the shell of a New Zealand collection. Walking by a store front stamp store on Yonge St. in Toronto (long since gone), I decided to look around and, before I knew what was happening, I was re-hooked. I've now got a nice collection and have experienced countless pleasurable hours putting it together. So, hope you keep at it; the hobby is one of the greatest stress-relievers ever invented. Let us know the directions in which you intend to head.

Welcome to the Forum bythelake, We look forward to seeing your progress in your journey towards rare early British Commonwealth issues. You'll find lots of experience and expertise here if you need help. Which lake by the way? One of the Great Lakes or a local? I live a few miles from Lake Huron myself. Rob In Michigan

I grew up near Lake Michigan, Hubby’s family is all around Point Pelee, Canada, in Lake Erie. Are you close to either of those?
