Hello, I am Michael Dodd I own cddstamps.com and sell as cddstamps on the Hipstamp marketplace. I have been collecting for over 50 years and selling for over 20 years now. I am a member of the GBPS, the APS, the AFDCS and various other stamp groups. I am also a member of, and the General Secretary of, the Internet Philatelic Dealers Association IPDA I collect GB Downey Heads and my thematic interest is aviation on stamps. I write regularly on that topic on my blog cddstamps.wordpress.com. I also write for US, UK and Australian Stamp magazines and a few stamp club newsletters. My main area of general interest and with my online store is Great Britain, and the British Commonwealth prior to 1970. One of my interests, and activities to support this, is ensuring collectors have the opportunity to learn about stamp collecting, the good, the bad and the ugly, so to speak. I write a blog on general philatelic topics and try at times to cover matters to help collectors in this regard. I have published a book "Caveat emptor and other advice for philatelists" - with the intent of trying to offer some advice and thoughts based on my mistakes and learnings. I am British and Canadian, I lived in Sydney Australia for 20+ years, then Hong Kong and have now retired and live in northern Luzon, in the Philippines. I welcome contacts and questions.

Hello and Welcome. I too stop collecting commonwealth around 1970, some countries to the late 70's as I have album pages. Some of the countries have beautiful stamps, but I just posted 125 stamps and souvenir sheets from Grenada from 1969 t0 78. Seems a bit excessive. Glad I only had that country to deal with. And really not sure why... Great crew on this site, you will enjoy.

Welcome to TSF. I don't believe I've ever purchased from you but I did save your Hipstamps store as a favorite sometime last year while looking either for Machins or some German issues.

Welcome to TSF, Michael ( cddstamps)! Thanks for the nice intro and for providing a link to your store. I have had a look around, and I will probably again at a future date. I will check out your blog next thing, as I am interested in philatelic writing, too. I am hoping that perhaps we can get you interested in writing occasionally for the TSF Newsletter. We are always looking for authors. Anyway, welcome again and see you around the boards! -Chris ( Beryllium Guy) Back in So Cal after 5 years abroad
