Well it's the middle of July already & my used Q.E.II collection has got as far as 2005 in printing the pages. I've added quite a few more stamps this week mainly 1960's/70's & replaced others with better copies. I added the pages to 3 albums yesterday, which were salvaged from an auction lot. I came across the scanned newspaper clipping amongst the same auction lot items. Featuring the British film industry from a set of stamps issued in 1985.

Continuing on with my used GB collection the scanned pages are from Christmas 1995 & the first issue of 1996 & have just been added to my album. I have added some "cut outs" to the pages (& other pages in the album) to brighten them up a little & in some instances add extra info about the stamps. As I am taking a lot of the stamps from old/damaged first day covers I decided not to soak them but leave each one "on piece" individually cut around without damaging the perforations. My thinking was mainly to save time, avoid any damage during soaking (blocks & strips tend to split @ the perfs when wet), generally protect the stamps from creasing etc. The downside is the perfs are less visible against the white backing of the card/paper they are on. Anyway in the future whoever inherits the stamps can make their choice about how to deal with them.

It's been a while since I added a post here. Lately I have had some time to work on my Q.E.II pages managing to reach 2002 with most stamps in place. Some of the earlier "gaps" have been filled & a few stamps replaced with better examples. The scanned page from 2002 leaves several years to catch up with yet.
