I have enjoyed peter Peter's Australian postmark posts, having a small quantity in my cover stock.
As I was thumbing through them this morning I found this cover with a collision of two slogans promoting safe driving.
Well, it made me smile

Thanks JeffS 🙏 I love that cover, showing how the two road safety slogans were being used concurrently on different machines at Brisbane GPO on the same date. Let me share this very rare slogan with you, presented in what may be a wonderful comedy of errors, that encapsulate why I love collecting slogans as much as I do. The strike on the front has an inverted slug for 4 pm on November 5, 1971. It has been corrected on the rear, but now It's 5 pm on November 4, 1971. Will the correct time and date please stand! |
