Received this Label this week. Beautiful artwork done on this, with printers mark lower right. I will add to my New Zealand pages, and once I have time to figure out the Chalons I will be back to doing that, but hopefully winter is in it's last throws.

Here is the complete set of 7 cinderellas issued as publicity labels for the exhibition: And here is the 'official' issued set commemorating the 1906 Christchurch Exhibition : and mint : and the famous error, the 1d Claret, issued by mistake or by design? and the page these are displayed on from the Sir Heaton Rhodes Collection in the Canterbury Museum: And also a page of color trials and plate proofs from the same collection : Dave

The last of 4 lots I won in the recently concluded Auckland City Stamps Public Auction 27 is this major flaw, SG372a from the left pane R4/2 known as the 'White Flaw behind Chieftain'. Dave

I picked this up from a Governor Genral's collection a while back. They would give outgoing GG and Postmaster Generals a complete simplified NZ stamp collection - MNH. I bought Sir Bernard Ferguson's collection.

Wow. That is quite rare Neil. A 1d 'Claret'.
Not exactly what I would have thought to have been part of a 'simplified' NZ collection tho'!
As well as SG1, the 'Claret' is another I don't think I will ever own!
Well done you.

That's what I thought Dave, and then this just turned up, I had just got a wee bonus from work, and no one else bid (maybe one other bid). The real beauty is it is MNH post Office perfect with shiny new gum (doesn't really show that in scan below). And you can clearly see the top perfs and how damaged they are - this from the perforators doing multiple sheets at once. Neil

Lovely MNH Neil.
And the Claret color is so rich.
A shame about the top perfs as the other 3 sides look good.
It would be interesting to see what it would achieve at auction should it ever make it there!
