More sad news. Member bobby1948 passed away last September and I have just found out now from a family member on Facebook. He would have been 75 yesterday. He joined our forum back in 2016 and made his last post in July 2020. RIP Bobby. Londonbus1

Oh no! That’s one of the saddest parts of our hobby - the age of our membership means we will lose folks.

Bobby was quite active in the Forum's early years and quite a generous member. He will be missed.

Thank you for letting us all know about this, Michael ( Londonbus1 ). I had not realized that he had passed away, and in fact, I made a post on his Facebook page on 1st March, to wish him happy birthday. Bobby ( bobby1948 ) was a great guy, and I got to know him reasonably well in my early days on the Forum, 2017-2018. I started a special thread to thank him for his exceptional kindness to me and to wish him happy birthday on 1st March 2018, which can be found here: thestampforum.boards.net/post/53496/threadBobby became less active on the Forum after a while, and when I contacted him privately, I learned that he was struggling with health issues. I stayed in touch with him through Facebook Messenger, and we chatted now and then. At one point, about a year and a half ago, he sent me a PM to tell me that "he was back" and would become active on the Forum again. We exchanged excited messages, but he never did start posting again. Bobby was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever known. The community of stamp collectors has been fortunate to be able to count him among its number for as long as it did. Rest in peace, Bobby. I will always remember you for your special kindness to me.

Wow...very sad news.
Became friends immediately after joining TSF. We talked - traded stamps - and were both stamp & life buddies.
RIP Bobby...and condolences to your family...

Happened to drop by the forum and saw this. Very sad to hear this.
He was really a generous member. I was looking at a few stamps a couple of weeks back, which was given by him and remembered about him.
May his soul rest in peace.
