Working on my stamps this weekend I discovered a Scott 365 5c blue - Dr. Nicolas J. Gutierrez. Scott says it was issued Oct 28, 1940.
Mine has a beautiful Havana SON CDS with an October 27, 1940 date!
An EKU?
I would love to share my photo but I haven’t figured out how to upload it. I am creating this thread with my iPhone so maybe I will have better luck with my computer in the office.

It could be a couple of things-
Someone who had access to the stamp postmarked/sent it a day early (the 27th, 1940 was a Sunday)*
The postal clerk didn't change the date
Scott is incorrect
it is a forged cancellation - although that seems unlikely as the CV for a used stamp is ~12% of MNH
*this seems most probable

My guess is the postal clerk didn’t change the date on the postmark stamper.

The issue dates matches what is listed on Colnect.com.
i agree with other who suggest a clerk forgot to change the date, or made a mistake in doing so.
Great little side storey and mystery.
