As you will have guessed from several of my recent posts, I'm working through a lot of Spanish Andorra stamps. And a few German Empire ones thrown in.

I've been all over the map lately as I sort a large worldwide mix. I really enjoy sorting and looking everything over, especially when anything showing Queen Victoria pops up. Most recent pleasant surprise, a couple dozen 3 cent small queens.
As much fun as this globe-hopping has been, I'm starting to feel a small "itch" to land somewhere and spend some time in a single spot for a while. Current list of possible contenders: Australia (a collection of 3400 different waiting to be worked), Austria (2800+ sorted out by Scott number, waiting to be mounted), Hungary (thousands in envelopes sorted roughly by stamp size), and Canada (a collection of 2000 different, plus dozens of envelopes of unsorted). I could easily get lost in any of these for a long time. Decisions, decisions.

Where I am.... In the middle of a hoarders chaos. I'm ripping stamps out of several Belgian albums and stock books, decide to clean them, at the same time I make small lot's selling on Norwegian facebook stamp groups. My desk is flowing over with ongoing projects. So today after work I need to clean my desk and pay attention and focus on one thing at a time. Yeah right.... Yep, that went well.........

This morning, I woke up - won this Auction last night but did not stay up until the end (z-z-z-z-) I did have some success, having won a nice Newfoundland C16 VFOG and 20 lots of Mauritius (around 50 stamps in 20 lots). I only missed 6 lots in all. All are classic Mauritius. Cannot wait to receive them next week and start making pages......with those I have in album.

Australia. On this past Saturday I started working on a large packet (3400 different) I bought in 2022. I’m roughly a third of the way through it. I’m hoping to have much of it done by the time my vacation (through 1/1) ends.
I’ve been using Gibbons’ Australia catalogue as my travel guide. So far so good.

No physical stamps ….Firmly in Scotland.Bogged down in emails and paperwork prior to a) club committee meeting next week b) Association delegates meeting later in the month c) finalising arrangements for cancellation on Congress cover …..all prep work for the Association of Scottish Philatelic Societies in April . d) drafting a citation to nominate another collector as Signatory of the Distinguished Scottish Philatelists e) starting to fret !
So much unseen work behind the scenes, takes so much effort and time to get things running smoothly hoping all goes well on time …..all new to me who had taken these events for granted for 20-30 years

I finished going through my big Australia packet today. In addition to Australia proper, there were very short side trips to the Australian Antarctic Territory (17 stamps) and Christmas Island (3 stamps). Australia is now the top country in my collection with over 3300 different. The next step for this project will be to set up my wantlist for filling holes. I’m not going to start on that just yet, but it will be a task for the first half of 2024.
For now, I’m just having fun identifying. Next stop, New Zealand.
