Canada Post issued two different series (Maple Leaf and Landscape) of "Kiosk" postage stamps between 2012 and 2020. There were two issues of the "Maple Leaf" design and three issues of the "Landscape by Canadian Painters" design. See below link for the machines used to print those stamps. The image and tagging on the stamp would come pre-printed on the paper rolls and the machine would only print (thermal print) the bar code/digit code (depending on the design) and the denomination. www.ateeme.net/anglesw/aca_12wincor.htmCanadian Unitrade catalogue describes those very clearly.

Computer Vended Postage - CP20 & CP23 Yesterday, I received some stamps from Calgary (from a popular dealer) and I was surprised to see some "Kiosk" stamps used for postage. This was a first for me. After looking a bit closer, I noticed that the 14 digit code and the denomination had been printed on a separate piece which appears to be glued on the stamps itself. I have never heard or seen this before. As we know, the Thermal printing on these stamps can fade away with time. One can only think that someone got really creative and reprinted the info on a translucid stick-on to use the stamp for postage. Any thoughts on this?
