Eventually, you'll just recognize them, but one feature to look out for is this "symbol":
It's called a tughra, and it is roughly equivalent to a monogram. Each Turkish leader had his own, so you can find your era by knowing the few tughras that are relevant to our eras.

I was about to say, are you illiterate? Can't you read? But even the Turks no longer read their variant of Arabic script
The shape of the tughras (calligraphic signatures of the rulers) are distinct enough, even if we cannot decipher the letters.
