Hi Folks,
Great to be a member now, hoping to see interesting posts and to learn a lot. I have collected on and off for about 55 years, starting when I was 8. Originally, I only had an interest in British Commonwealth, which gradually morphed into an intense interest in KGVI. When I got to the point where it was almost impossible to find new stamps for my KGVI collection, I became bored with it and sold that collection in a Murray Payne auction.
Since them, my interests have broadened greatly to include MNH definitives, officials, and dues from all parts of the world with the exception of the USA and Canada/Provinces. Most of my collection is "middle period," from 1910's to about 1980. Areas of particular interest include most of Europe, Colonies/Territories of most European countries, Mexico, Argentina, Thailand, and multiple others.

Hey, that sounds like a good way to go about it. I tend to be obsessive about a few countries at the expense of all the rest of them, but I got some kiloware mixtures from all over Africa and started thinking, I can't collect all these places but why not put 2 or 3 definitive series together from each one (each one that actually has definitive series, or ever had them, that is) and have a more worldwide sampler collection? I prefer used stamps to unused anyway, and that's what definitives are all about.
