I have a couple South Australia stamps that I am unable to identify (looking for Scott Numbers). I do not have a catalog for South Australia so have been using colnect to try to identify.
Both stamps have the Crown over SA watermark and are perf 13. Using google image search indicates the light violet one (on the right) to be 116 except the size of this stamp looks to be 18.5? x 22.5? mm (question marks are because the image is cut off) while colnect indicates it should be 21 x 25. I don't think enough of the image is cutoff to account for 2.5 mm.
Google image search could not find anything for the stamp on the left. It measures 20.5? x 24? and appears to be Scott 106. However, it appears to me to have a postmark from 1893 and Scott 106 was issued in 1895.
Any help would be appreciated!

The size of the stamp design is sometimes used to identify stamps like those that are printed on different types of machines (flatbed and rotary) or where paper shrinkage occurs on certain printings.
However, the Colnect stamp size is from the tips of the perforations and can't be used in the same way. I assume it's to allow their users to design their own pages when they don't physically have the stamp.
In particular the perforations of these stamps vary because of the way the perforations were applied, so the stamp size in Colnect, for early stamps like this, are confusing and certainly can't be used for stamp identification.
Following a quick check of Scotts Catalogue, I would say you have identified them correctly and I would question the year 93 (99?) as it doesn't look right to me, though I'm not a postmark expert.

Thanks michael! I did not know that about the size in Colnect, it is very helpful.
