Just back from a holiday in Sicily, following in the footsteps of my Dad who landed in Augusta 80 years ago this July, 2 weeks after the invasion of Europe began. I bought some postcards and stamps for the UK and received the following: Each 'stamp' contains a peelable stamp, a QR code for tracking and 6 peelable 'icons' which vary with each stamp. Details here: globepostalnetwork.com/en/home/I have to say writing a postcard was more enjoyable than usual as I tried to use as many appropriate icons as I could. My young granddaughter will love it! What a nice idea for tourists, however... None of us noticed the "Post only in GPN Mail Box" on the stamp so the postcards were posted most likely (we didn't look) in an ordinary mailbox. Their website says, "We have agreements with other postal operators for the return of incorrectly posted correspondence which takes place on a monthly basis", so it will be some time before our postcards arrive home!!
