Danged if I could find my other post, I searched "printer" and "laser" to no avail.
Anyhow, my Brother $39 Monochrome Laser, lasted 60 days before "Toner alert" I havn't printed much, possibly 50 album pages (quadrille) , and a few headings.
Just been on the internet, Toner Cartridge Aust Genuine $49, discount shops $35, Ebay $18 and free postage 2,600 pages quoted.
My old Inkjet was $40 per cartridge.
The Printer is just about faultless, a tad noisy when cooling, and the handfeed sometimes gives wonky alignment of print.
Over and out.

I haven't purchased a printer in years and years, but I recall hearing that new printers are often shipped with "intro" toner cartridges that will only last for a limited number of pages.

Wow! I never knew that Steve, shall use it in future, how neat is that.
Zuzu, initial toner was supposed to do 700 sheets, that is simply not correct, no where near that, however still happy with El Cheapo, and toner at $18 that's a steal.

Wow, yikes... taking it out and shaking it back and forth doesn't re-trip the sensor, does it? (Assuming your printer uses a sensor... I used to have a laser printer at my old job that simply went by page count and had to be reset every time the cartridge was replaced. Made no sense to me.)

Add site:thestampforum.boards.net to your query, and it will search and return results only on this domain.

Update: $40 Brother HL2130 monochrome laser.
The toner refill probably reached 2000 pages, was printing OK then abruptly stopped and refused any demands without a new toner cartridge. ergo, I think the brother is "chipped" as well.
I'll keep the old cartridge and see if it reloads next time due for a new cartridge.

It's only "chipped," if you can't use a third party cartridge.

I believe it is. I got the image online.
Last I checked, the imperf Bugs Bunny was going for around $150 on eBay.
There is some pain with the Looney Tunes imperfs for me. I HAD 2 of each imperf sheet.
2 Bugs Bunny sheets are somewhere in my house. I have not been able to find them.
1 sold a regular Porky Pig sheet to someone on another forum (not SCF, or down under), and accidentally mailed them the imperf. I chose not to ask for it back. Seemed rude.
EDIT: Wow, they're down to $99 now!

Brother Laser Printer HL2130 I have the "work around" to overide the toner default and reset the flag gear, if anyone needs it. To extend print range.
Caveat: Some printers dump waste toner back into the print bin, extend at your own risk.

Also try putting it in brackets [] and separating the search words/phrases with + signs will help too. If looking for a phrase put in quotes inside brackets. It's because of how search engines "read" the text. If you put dog chases cat Google will read Dog AND chases AND cat. If you use plus signs between the words it gets rid of the ANDs. Or, just type ["Dog chases cat"] OR ["thestampforum"+"Rod222"+"printer"+"ink"] OR [Rod222+printer]+[printer+ink] and you may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
You can thank (me lol), a highschool internet class on computers & of course William Ticehurst (wt1). Also youtube google search tutorials.
