Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
May I take this opportunity to present my compliments and introduce myself.
I am very much the novice collector, more interested in the history of the stamps and what they represent.
I have inherited albums over the years from family, and am currently going through just one of them, as I have become intrigued by the grills and details of the American president series.
I hope to be able to learn from the more knowledgeable on this forum, and thank you for your consideration, and
with regards, I remain,
yours faithfully.

Hi All,
Thank you you for your kind words of welcome.. sorry for the delay in replying, I’ve been busy going through a late Victorian era stamp album I acquired recently, and there's still loads more for me to look into, plus I want to get certification on a few of them by the RPS... if they turn out any good I will post up photos.
Thankfully Ive given up on US grill identification for the moment, I think it’s too advanced a subject for me, although I did with the carbon technique actually see a grill on a 3c Washington I was studying... but I’m thinkingabout buying one of those watermark detectors I’ve seen on eBay, which might be safer...and not involve lighter fluid or pencils.
Thank you all again for your words of welcome, good luck to all and all the best.
Mart
