philatelia Hello...like you,I have problems with the colours and telling the differences between fine and coarse print. I mainly am interested in postmarks so sometimes it is a little easier to figure out which is which. For example,the 15k you show was issued as a fine print in 1877.Examples I have with legible postmark dates before 1877 would be coarse print,even though to me they look the same. The problem for me is when I have an stamp dated 1880 for example..is it a fine or coarse print ? I have no way of telling...
