Hi my name is Dave Allwright. 66 years young, autistic and dyslexic so excuse spelling mistakes if I make any.
I was introduced to stamp collecting on board the Fairstar in 1965 on the way to Australia and so were my 2 brothers, by the time we got to Australia I had bought my brother out, my father said I would become an entrepreneur but did not tell me what it meant. That took me many years to learn.
My main collecting theme throughout the years have been postage dues used preferably on cover.
I joined the forces in 1973 and after training posted to Germany where I ran the Verden stamp club for a couple of years. After 1 auction the General of the Division Gen King suggested I start a business which I did (Allwright Stamps). I left the forces in 1980. (another story)
I kept that trading name until 2003 when I became full time self employed. My 1st attempt at running a fultime business lasted until 2006 when it went bust. Dusted myself down and started again, this time correcting the mistakes I had made and expanding my fields of trade. New name is Stamps n All and primary aim is aiding charities with fundraising. NOTE I am no longer accepting any new organisations and I am winding my business down pending my retirement in a couple of years time, but will retain helping 2 local Veterans organisations with their fundraising - Veterans Outdoors and Plymouth Veterans Sailing with PYS. I am also a full time eBay trader I cannot give my ID here but I can say I am also an eBay Concierge Member with 100% feedback.
Over the years I have traded in Stamps, coins, postcards and all sorts of collectibles.
Even though being in the trade for many years I still do not know everything, hence joining here. I have an absolute mountain of stock to dispose of but cannot start selling here until I reach my threshold of posts which I will try to do as I need help with a lot of items I have.
I look forward to forming new contact and friends around the world by way of this exciting hobby
