I've just been going through some Frama labels and notice the 1 Post paid which comes from a Cassette Post package is quite different from the Machine vended Framas. Firstly the printing is very crisp in comparison. It is on Non phosphor coated paper, compared to the usual All over phosphor. And it is a different thickness compared to the usual Framas, even without the gum as they I think only come pre attached to the cassette cover. It also is a slightly different size. The backing pattern however seems the same, I can only assume that these labels came from a printing press rather than machine, and on different paper. Any Frama experts care to put in some input?

Wittybebop apart from the Letter Cassette pack, the same version of the label was used for the Post.A.Book service with, I think 2 or 3 sizes of padded envelopes. Examples of each are shown below, the first Post.A.Book envelope shown hasn't aged well. These labels would have been pre-printed. The Post.A.Book scheme would continue after Framas with large self-adhesive labels with those octagonal Machins, included here for comparison. According to Michel Automatemmarken Spezial-Katalog, the Frama stamps/labels for the UK were produced by Harrison and Sons. So, I assume they also produced the labels for the envelopes.

Thanks for the reply Daniel, I'll be sure to look out for the above packaged, do you by any chance have the Blue tape cassette with the Cassette post bag?

It also has the original ad from Rushstamps issue number 3 1985/86 @ £3.50p unused. I've started to add more Framas to my collection 👍
The advert from Rushstamps is as follows: -
FRAMA SPECIAL "EXCLUSIVE OFFER" By the way did you know that an "unspecified value" 1st Class Frama was introduced last year unheralded! Specially produced for Consumer Marketing Programmes - the special offer has now been withdrawn - this stamp is the same design and on similar paper as other Framas and has set a precedent - because - it can prepay any letter, package or parcel within the UK (the maximum parcel rate it could be used for is £4.15)! Quite staggering!! We don't think the post office will consider this idea again because of the loop-hole established! As far as we know, no other dealer has offered this unique item. We are happy to back up our confidence with a full money back guarantee at any time - you cannot lose. (Maximum 2 per customer)
