so why not go with 'philatelic art' ? - it may sound a little ordinary or pedestrian, but simplicity is often the most practical. What does artificial intelligence know anyway;-)

We (my artist friend and I) are afraid that 'Philatelic Art' is more on the philately side, and not on the artistic side ... It may simply mean 'the art of philately / stamp collecting'.
This name is going to be used in the art grant application I am writing to Canada Council for the Arts, so obviously, it better appeals to the artworld.
Does 'Philagraphic Art' leans more towards the artistic side?

I think it does - more perhaps toward the art of writing do you think, though I sense you will lose the philately connection, but it's your choice and you must angle your choice toward whatever you feel will give you more kudos with the Council for the Arts.

I keep thinking about this but most of what I come up with has either been mentioned or sounds plain wrong, how about: Phillustration?
