London 2010...a time to live long in my memory.
One of the most wonderful sites was opening the tube of the Press sheet of the show Miniature sheet with the new £1 value.
The sheet consisted of 10 tete-beche pairs of sheets in two 'panes'. It was only the second time the British Post Office had issued a tete-beche item, the other being a 1955 3d Wilding definitive. [although other definitives from the same series are said to exist].
The sheet has everything apart from the Miniature sheets.
Colour bars, Colour shade grading, Marginal inscriptions, positional bars both horizontal and vertical, sheet number..........
I cut one of these up and was quite happy with the result.
One has sat in my bedroom cupboard, unopened for a long time.
It just brings back too many wonderful memories..........
