Mystic Stamp sent me an email this morning telling me that have an Upright Jenny Pane
They're asking $52,500.00 for it.
I'm surprised people haven't tried to counterfeit this stamp yet.

It is a pure invention. If someone gave me one I would most likely sell it for about half of what they are asking.

If I has a Scott catalog number, I'd mount it in an album and move on with my life.
It's kind of the way I feel about the modern imperfs. You gave them to me, I'd mount them. But I'm not going to chase them down.
I was actually annoyed when Scott gave the imperfs catalog numbers. I left like that added some legitimacy to them.

If the USPS printed 100,000 of these upright panes and they had the same catalog number as the originals, would you buy one?
I wonder if any of the owners of these panes would file a lawsuit against the USPS to keep from releasing them.
Any of these limited release runs need to stop. It's the USPS leaving money on the table. These stamps are obviously designed for collectors. If they did the inverted pane and the upright pane, I would think most collectors would have bought one of each. I feel like that would have made them more money than having the small amount of collectors that bought a giant pile of these things.
