On Thursday, August 24th, at 6:00 PM EST, the British Empire Study Group will present a Free Zoom program entitled:
"A Stamp Interrupted by War - The Hong Kong 8c KGVI Definitive ” presented by Ingo Nessel
I’ll be co-hosting the program along with Joan Harmer (of Harmers International). Registration and additional program information can be found by selecting the following link: madmimi.com/s/50ec171 As always, our programs are recorded and available for FREE on YouTube (usually within 2 weeks following the broadcast).
It would be wonderful to see some of you there in person at the broadcast (say Hello). An open discussion will follow the presentation. Rob

Thanks for the reminder, Rob ( REL1948). I am planning to be there. Let's see if my Zoom behaves better this time, as it didn't seem to work correctly the last time. I will be sure to reboot my laptop before entering the session.

It was an excellent presentation, Rob ( REL1948 ). Ingo did a great job, and I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see Alex ( vikingeck ) and Hugh ( hdm1950 ) there, too. And I think that David M Frye was there, too, as I can recall his asking a question during the discussion. Were there others from TSF? I think that the next program on single-frame exhibiting should get some interest from members here on TSF like philatelia , stanley64 , or others. Anyway, great job to you and Joan for organizing!

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

I too enjoyed the presentation. I signed up on a whim knowing that it was not a study path I was about to go down. I certainly can identify with Ingo's comment that his study of one stamp took him from being a stamp collector to a philatelist. These journeys usually start out innocently with one stamp or cover and then another and then another....... This is the second British Empire Study Group zoom meeting I have attended and will not be the last. Thanks indeed to Joan and Rob REL1948 for all your efforts.
