What I collect: US...everything until I decide what I don't want to collect! And now thanks to a TSF give-away I'm adding Space topicals!

Well...I *think* I shredded mine...
Anyway...
I received a stamp list from either an individual or a company and he had gobs of stuff listed. He ever had a free section.
I think I received it because of my membership in the APS and I have a hazy memory of checking a box of "I'd love to hear from other stamp collectors!" (Or something to that effect)
Did anyone else receive that and better yet....do you still have it and can you send me his contact info? He said something about email wasn't a good way to contact him...so...another clue to the list I'm looking for.
So...phone number...website...even his email too. Thanks so much! Mike
PS...I've looked everywhere for that stupid list...I'm pretty sure it went through the shredder two days ago. M

Thanks for your post, Mike ( brookbam) I am an APS member, but I haven’t seen anything in the mail like you have described. Can you provide any other information?

Thanks for your post, Mike ( brookbam ) I am an APS member, but I haven’t seen anything in the mail like you have described. Can you provide any other information? Unfortunately that is all I have. I do have some envelopes here that I keep because of the stamps but none of the names are ringing a bell. I know one of them is an ebay buy.
I looked around on the APS site (I'm a member) but I could not find any areas where dealers posted any sort of sales ad..
I can't even remember if this was just a single page or a couple of pages.
Ugh...I really need that souped up Delorean right now....

What I collect: Primarily focused on Japan, but lots of other material catches my eye as well ...

I *think* I know how this might work. I don't think you'll ever see anything posted like what you received in the mail on the APS website, but I think if you contact them, describing your situation, then perhaps they'll be able to help. Their webpage describes their service better than I can, so let me post it here: stamps.org/donate/mailing-listsBecause they control this pretty tightly, they may be able to pinpoint the sender who requested the mailing list info. (Also, if I recall correctly, you're a relatively recent member of the APS? I think some people/dealers/organizations send material to new members. Unless someone did some Google research to find new members' contact info on the internet, then they also would've worked with the APS to get mailing labels.) Hope that helps!

Did it ever!
I called a number in the link above.
I found a couple of envelopes and I *thought* one of them might have been one of the ones that had sent the list I was looking for. I figured worst case I would write both of them and hope for the best. Anyway, I called and got someone, explained the situation and as soon as I said the second name, she recognized it and she thinks that was the one I was looking for.
I've received other lists in the past but not any lately so I think maybe I might have the correct envelope. She wouldn't give out a phone number so I get to sit at my computer and write a letter, stuff it in an envelope, stick a stamp on it and send it off.
But I think I have a better idea...
I think I'm going to take my previously wished for Deloean and go back to the 70s during my pen pal days. I think I am going to actually write a letter, stuff it in an envelope, stick some *70s* stamps on it (I know I have some....somewhere....) and plop it in the mailbox at the Post Office.
Sounds like a plan Stan. Mike
PS...I'll update this if I found the right person. M
