Hi guys I'm Greg, just an amatuer guy who looks around the websites and flea markets for stamps,I have found lots of EDC's including the EDC for the Scott 583 2C rotary stamp(well there's 2, 1 from another collector and 1 is mine LOL)
So I have been out of collecting for 6 years but recently got back into the search,I have only sent in my EDC covers for certs the other stuff I found I have just kept here for later, well now is later and it's time to start asking some questions to you guys before I send anything in and waste their time,so I'll post a cool one I just picked up the other day and do that one first in the correct forum thread,OK thanks.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

tanker Welcome Greg. This is an international forum but I was able to figure out that it was a US Scott 583 you are talking about. I am familiar with FDC’s (first day covers) but am not aware of what an EDC is.

It is interesting that you describe yourself as an "amateur". This term is not often used but rather novice, beginner, general, intermediate, specialist, etc.

Deeelighted to have you join in the fun!
I’m curious too - what is an EDC? Earliest day cover? Or is that a typo and you meant FDC?

I thnk an Earliest Documented Cover/Use thread would be a great addition to the U.S. section of the Forum.
