Issued on 14 September 1998 to celebrate 80 years of 'El Pais' newspaper (Uruguay) The souvenir sheet has a line drawing of a Linotype or Intertype so is quite unusual

I posted a stamp from France earlier in this thread and stated it was the only screen printing stamp I knew of. I have found two more Issued on 12 November 2012 in a series The Printer's Art - Art Print: Screen print (Liechtenstein)

Bit of a strange one this.........stamp issued on 17 December 1970 to commemorate the Death Centenary of Saverio Mercadante (1795-1870) who was a composer. but used on a First Day Cover to honour Francesco Marcolini(c. 1500—1559), an Italian printer and typefounder. There was no stamp honouring Marcolini issued to go with this First Day Cover Stamp First Day Cover

Bit of a strange one this.........stamp issued on 17 December 1970 to commemorate the Death Centenary of Saverio Mercadante (1795-1870) who was a composer. but used on a First Day Cover to honour Francesco Marcolini(c. 1500—1559), an Italian printer and typefounder. There was no stamp honouring Marcolini issued to go with this First Day Cover stampsmurfI have been looking at some of the work, by Marcolini. Wow! what beautiful work he produced! Reminded me of the work of Durer. Courage as well, "defending heliocentrism" just 9 years after Copernicus' work.

Issued on 7 September 1997 to celebrate the 480th anniversary of Belarus Book Printing. Francysk Skaryna was a printer and publisher of the first printed book in the Belarusian language. He printed the first book in 1517, which is called The Bible of Francysk Skaryna. The first two stamps show The Psalter and the the title page of Skaryna's Bible
