I wanted to join this forum because I have recently inherited both my Father's and Mother's stamp collections. I was looking at a post on this forum all about early New Zealand stamp cancellations which caught my interest. My Father collected Australian and Australian Territories along with New Zealand and a side line in New Zealand error stamps. Back in the day he competed with both collections. My Mother collected The British Commonwealth but later concentrated on Britain and African animals. For the past year I've spent a lot of time just sorting the collections but I have to admit to being very overwhelmed at times, so I'm hoping joining a forum will help.
Thank you.

Kia Ora gibmanYour inherited collections sound interesting. I am looking forward to seeing some of them here. I am sure we can assist you in some way, although the NZ members here seem to have faded away somewhat over the past year or so. Welcome Dave PS Whereabouts in NZ are you located?

I'm building a reference collection and have a few hundred (not including Hausberg's and reprints). I tend to only collect four margin copies, but am flexible depending on their scarcity as some of the experimental separations are hard to find in good condition (almost impossible in fact!) as you know. I reckon I'll be finished in about 100 years.
