Finding it very hard to dispose of excessive duplicates or unwanted areas. Besides eBay there are few options. Craigslist and other similar sites don’t give much success. What are ones options

Very few! I have managed to find 3 stamp collectors (worldwide collectors) whom, as myself, will accept ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, free swaps That said, I just place all my duplicates in a box, and send off when my Australia Post box is full, around 2000 to 5000 stamps
There is still pain in that, my latest box Western Australia to New Brunswick canada postage $34

I have traded with some people here on the forum in the past.
What I did in the past was taking pictures of the stamps I can trade and place those in a google drive. An interested person can then look to see if there is something of any interest. And sometimes they just ask for stamps from a certain country. I always trade and don't sell.
If it is international shipping you better look ar the regulations for sending letters or parcels as it can get quite expensive.
If you have any questions please ask.

southafrica1 if you have not seen Colnect (link in my signature) you might want to as it has a very active trading community, and was designed by the owners for traders when first developed.

This is where I find it very easy just to not have extras. I used to have a ton, but before I moved, about 8 years ago, I decluttered and that included every single stamp that wasn't in an album. Now, I have virtually zero duplicates and I have a couple of younger collectors that will take anything that I come across. You can also donate to places like Stamps for the Wounded, which will take whatever you have happily. www.stampsforthewounded.org/

thank you kindly for all your replies...much appreciated. as for traders that is not as difficult as for finding buyers. Over the past 20+ years or so I have supplied quite a few collectors on a regular basis with my surplus material, and whatever money I made I just plowed it into buying more stamps. But over the years many have quit, lost interest, or just passed away so I am trying to find a few replacement collectors to sell to. Have tried to put ads in some of the online ad sites but with zero success. Any ideas as to who or where I can find collectors to sell to would be very helpful. Thanks again, SouthAfrica1
