I purchased my Jason Island stamp from Birdland Park in Bourton-on-the-Water in the UK which is owned by Len Hill (pictured on stamp). Banknotes (funny money) have also been produced. I sold my single copy long ago when I gave up that hobby. Before that visit, I knew nothing of Jason Island and the Bird Sanctuary Len Hill was trying to set up. Great story. If anyone is visiting the UK and is in or around Gloucestershire, Bourton-on-the-Water is a wonderful place to visit, one of my favourite in the UK. They even have a 'Wonderland' Cafe !!!! Londonbus1

From 2012 new 'banknotes' were issued for New Jason Islands by the Antarctica Overseas Exchange office. They claim " Our bills are not legal tender money of Antarctica or anywhere else, but we do honor them for their face value throughout their validity period, where applicable."

Wow as a Michigan gal, it sure seems weird to see the Edmund Fitzgerald, a ship that sunk in the Great Lakes, honored on a phantasy banknote for an Antarctic entity. Bizarre! Ya know, I’m LOVING how the daily challenges are launching all these discussions. Awesome info fellas - rod222, daniel. Thanks for sharing this Jason Island stamp, vikingeck. I’ve learned so much!
