Does anyone have any possible explanation for this collector’s notation? It translates as “1883 edition continued. Examples of stamps with indentation” I’m not seeing anything extraordinary- am I missing something? Thanks for the help!

Thanks for your post, Terri ( philatelia). Am I right in thinking that the notation is written in Danish? I tried a translation app, but I didn’t get “indentation” as the result for “linietakning.” I got something else. Let’s try tagging Morten ( classicalstamps), who is Danish, to see if he can comment on the translation in a philatelic context. I am not at home right now, but I will also check the Scott Catalogue once I get back to see if they have made any notations about this issue.

Could it mean line perf? Michel lists both line and comb perf varieties for this series.

In fact, this means line perforation (which is confirmed by a look at the stamps). Stamps of this issue in line perforation have a (partially very much) higher CV than those in comb perforation.

Thank you for the help! Now that you mention it, I can see it - the corners are definitely all different - sure looks like line perfs. Really appreciate the answer.
